LISTEN TO WHAT YOU NEED You’ve identified what is asking for your attention. Now create space to listen to what your mind, body and heart may be asking for.
MEET YOURSELF WITH COMPASSION Instead of judging what you feel or pushing it away, practice responding to yourself with greater gentleness, curiosity and care.
GIVE YOURSELF WHAT YOU NEED Nurturing isn’t selfish. Explore small, intentional ways to replenish yourself so you can move forward feeling supported rather than depleted.
Nurture What You’ve Identified
You’ve already taken the courageous first step: IDENTIFYING what is asking for your attention. Now comes something equally important — learning how to respond to what you discovered. NURTURE is an invitation to stop fighting yourself, pushing through your feelings or believing you should simply be able to “handle it.” Instead, you’ll explore what it means to meet yourself with compassion, honour what you need and intentionally create moments that replenish you. Because what we nurture has the opportunity to heal, grow and transform.
A Note From Nancy
I’ve learned that identifying what hurts is only the beginning. For years, I knew how to survive. I knew how to push through, keep going and take care of what needed to be done. What I had to learn was how to offer that same care to myself. Nurturing myself didn’t mean giving up, becoming weak or ignoring the realities of life. It meant learning to listen to what my heart, mind and body were asking for — and responding with compassion. That practice has become an important part of my own Pathway to Choose Joy™. My hope is that NURTURE gives you permission to offer yourself the same kindness, patience and care you so freely give to others. You are worthy of your own care, too.
What Do You Need Right Now?
You don’t need to push harder. You don’t need to have all the answers. You’ve already begun by noticing what needs your attention. Now give yourself permission to respond with care. Heart Stop™ #2 — NURTURE is your invitation to pause, listen and give yourself what you so freely give to everyone else.
